Staying Authentic
As you get older, it becomes increasingly difficult to be authentic. Most jobs value conformity and the longer you’re in the workflow, the more that conformity rubs off on you.
I’m not going to argue against conformity, but there are certain creative endeavors that value authenticity. Most recently, while creating a personal website, something I’ve been putting off for years, I found myself defaulting to conformity, when I needed to switch modes.
